bounded sources, visible gaps

Auditable state reports

Separate activity from progress.

Shevek helps technical leaders know whether the story matches the evidence. It turns scattered company evidence into defensible reports that show what is supported, contradicted, missing, stale and changed.

Your teams are producing more work than ever. Shevek helps you see whether that work is accurate, aligned and converting into business value.

Claim

Roadmap says stability. Evidence shows mixed work.

weakly supported

Claim text

“Platform stability is the top priority this quarter.”

Evidence found

  • Roadmap names stability as priority one. Roadmap
  • Git activity is mostly feature delivery. Git
  • Reliability tickets remain stale. Jira
  • Slack shows repeated escalation threads. Slack

Missing evidence

  • ? Agreed stability metric.
  • ? Visible ownership trail.
  • ? Clear reliability workstream.
  • ? Source proving feature freeze.

Weakly supported.

Define a measurable stability target and assign an owner before repeating the claim.

The problem

Companies already have the evidence. It is scattered.

Important reports are still assembled manually from partial traces across engineering tools, product systems, documents, spreadsheets, chat, customer notes and market signals. The final report often loses the evidence chain.

Polished uncertainty

Roadmap updates, board reports and customer commitments can sound clear while hiding missing evidence, stale assumptions and unresolved contradictions.

Unsupported claims

Assumptions become facts. Weak evidence sounds certain. Unsupported claims survive because nobody can see which claims are safe to repeat.

AI amplification

Generic AI summaries can make fragmented evidence sound more coherent than it is. The risk is not only being wrong. The risk is not knowing why.

Productivity, efficiency, accuracy

More output is not the same as more progress.

Modern teams produce more commits, pull requests, tickets, documents, summaries, AI-assisted code and implementation activity than ever.

Productivity is how much work is being produced. Efficiency is how much of that work converts into useful company output: shipped product, resolved blockers, customer value, reduced risk, better decisions and commercial progress.

Accuracy is whether the evidence, claims, reporting and decision context are true enough to act on. Shevek does not compete with developer productivity tools. It helps leadership understand whether increased productivity is accurate, aligned and converting into value.

What Shevek does

A summary with evidence boundaries.

Shevek starts with the evidence your organisation already produces, tests claims against that evidence and produces a report showing what can be defended.

  1. 1. Register the source boundary.
  2. 2. Ingest the agreed evidence.
  3. 3. Build a structured evidence database.
  4. 4. Test claims against available sources.
  5. 5. Find support, contradiction and missing evidence.
  6. 6. Record provenance and null results.
  7. 7. Produce an auditable report.
  8. 8. Compare changes between runs.

Products

Trace, Catalogue and Research use the same evidence workflow.

Start with one report and expand source coverage when useful. Alignment compares the reports to show whether build, plan and market evidence agree.

Trace

Engineering reality

Trace produces auditable engineering state reports from Git repositories, pull requests, issues, Jira, Linear, documentation, incident notes and engineering chat.

Catalogue

Internal operating knowledge

Catalogue extends the workflow to spreadsheets, internal documents, project systems, meeting notes, issues, PRs, chat and operating records.

Research

Customer and market evidence

Research extends the workflow to customer requests, support signals, prospects, competitors, public claims, pricing, positioning and product launches.

Alignment

Do build, plan and market evidence agree?

Alignment compares Trace, Catalogue and Research to identify roadmap versus delivery gaps, unsupported internal claims, customer signals not reflected in product work, product work not reflected in planning, market changes not reflected in strategy, contradictions, missing evidence and alignment risk.

Report contents

The report says what can be defended, not just what sounds plausible.

A Shevek report separates evidence from interpretation and names the boundaries of what was checked.

Why not generic AI?

Generic AI can write a summary. Shevek builds the evidence chain underneath it.

Generic AI tools can produce fluent reports. That is not the same as defensible reporting.

The hard part is knowing what was searched, what was not found, where each claim came from, which claims are contradicted, which claims are unsupported, whether evidence is stale and what changed between runs.

Shevek is built around source boundaries, provenance, evidence matrices, null results, repeatable recipes, report history and evidence gates. The point is not more text. The point is more defensible text.

Pilot

Start with one report and one clear evidence question.

A Shevek pilot is deliberately contained: one team, one product area or one reporting question, with an agreed source boundary and an auditable report output.

Good starting questions

  • Does the roadmap match the delivery evidence?
  • What changed since the last board update?
  • Which product claims are unsupported?
  • What work appears blocked or stale?
  • Are customer signals reflected in product work?

Pilot output

The pilot report shows what appears true, what is supported, what is contradicted, what is missing, what is stale and what has changed. It improves the evidence available to decision makers without replacing leadership judgment.

Request a trial

Start with one evidence question.

Choose one team, one reporting question and one source boundary. Shevek will produce an auditable report showing what is supported, contradicted, missing, stale and changed.

We will only use this to contact you about a Shevek pilot or trial. No spam. No mailing list unless you ask for updates. Use a work email so we can understand the organisation context.
